DATA PROTECTION AUTHORIZATION

By clicking on the Agree button below, I hereby authorize FFA (“Football Foundation for Africa”) to collect, process and publish my personal data filled out on the application form in accordance with the FFA Privacy Policy, on any restricted or pubic website maintained by the FFA. This includes storing my personal data in a file system or database for the purposes of the organization and celebration of the Africa Football Business Summit, which will be held in Kigali, Rwanda on 14th and 15th September 2022.

I am aware that my authorized personal data can be consulted by anyone having access to the FFA websites.

I acknowledge that this authorization will remain in effect util I provide a written notice of revocation.

I hereby warrant I am eighteen (18) years of age or older and have every right to contract in my own name in the above regard.

    1. The Football Foundation for Africa (“FFA”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

        3. We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

  3. USES MADE OF THE INFORMATION

    1. Events, editorial content, seminars and webinars, learn about courses and legal advisors in sport;
    2. Email updates – newsletters and announcements;
    3. Recruitment Services – identifying candidates;
    4. Identifying potential speakers and contributors to Football Foundation for Africa; 
    5. Our services – membership, advertising of the foundation and its events, tickets for events. 
    6. Marketing of our services.

We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

  6. The FFA will only use personal data for adequate relevant and non-excessive uses, ensuring that it will be processed fairly and lawfully and only being used for the purposes described in this policy.
  7. The FFA must ensure that the data is accurate and where necessary, kept up to date. The organisation will ensure that the obsolete information is destroyed appropriately and securely.
  8. The FFA will ensure that clear and robust safeguards are in place to protect personal information from loss, theft and unauthorised disclosure, irrespective of the format in which it is recorded.

      1. In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
      2. If the FFA or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.

If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FFA, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
  2. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
    1. We keep your personal data for only as long as we need to. How long we need your personal data depends on what we are using it for, as set out in this privacy policy. If we no longer need your data, we will delete it or make it anonymous by removing all details that identify you. If we have asked for your permission to process your personal data and we have no other lawful grounds to continue with that processing, and you withdraw your permission, we will delete your personal data. However, when you unsubscribe from marketing communications, we will keep your email address to ensure that we do not send you any marketing in future.

    1. All interested parties will be able to exert their right to access, rectify, cancel and oppose the treatment the personal data in the terms established by applicable legislation. You also have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data.     1. Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
