Chris has worked in the football industry in Southern Africa for the last ten years. He spent seven years as Director of Football of Kick4Life F.C., a football club NGO in Lesotho that uses football to change the lives of youth in Lesotho. He oversaw promotion from the second tier to the Premier League in his first year at the club in 2014, after which the club established itself as a top-six Premier League club and was widely regarded as having the country’s best women’s and youth football programmes. During his time with Kick4Life, he was also elected to the National Women’s Football Committee and appointed Chairman of the Women’s Super League, positions he held for four years and oversaw a period of growth in women’s football in the country.

2020 Chris was appointed Deputy Secretary General of the #Lesotho Football Association. He spent two years overseeing football development strategies and infrastructure projects built through FIFA Forward and working with partners and sponsors before leaving Lesotho in August 2022. He then moved to Cape Town to undertake consultancy work with Umbro South Africa. He has now established a Football Management Consultancy and a new player agency- OPUS Sports Group, with the vision of helping open up new opportunities for players in undervalued markets across Africa. He has recently completed a Masters in Football Business with the Johan Cruyff Institute.
