Frédérique Reynertz is a distinguished sports lawyer with over 15 years of post-qualification experience, specializing in sports business, governance and integrity.
With a robust background in in-house legal counsel roles within prominent sports governing bodies across Europe and Switzerland, she has made significant contributions by providing expertise in commercial matters, corporate good governance, ethics, and integrity.
During her tenure at World Athletics, Frederique played a pivotal role in establishing, developing and managing the legal department, overseeing crucial initiatives such as setting up the Athletics Integrity Unit and spearheading major governance reforms.
Notably, she handled high-profile cases, including the Lamine Diack corruption scandal and the suspension of the Russian Athletics Federation, showcasing her expertise in managing integrity-related issues at the highest level of sports administration.
Her career highlights include serving as Head of Legal – Commercial Affairs of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, where she streamlined legal processes, implemented hashtag#GDPR compliance and negotiated complex commercial agreements for major motorsport championships and also as legal counsel at the International Olympic Committee – IOC in Lausanne, Rights acquisition and Digital Legal counsel Eurosport in Paris.
Frederique’s commitment to sports governance extends beyond her professional roles. She has contributed to global efforts to combat corruption in sports through her involvement in UNODC and hashtag#IPACS initiatives.
As an adjunct professor, she shares her expertise in sports business, governance, media rights, hashtag#ESG and law with students at prestigious institutions in Monaco, Paris and Madrid.
