Maheta Molango is the Chief Executive of the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), the trade union representing all players across England’s professional divisions – the Premier League, Women’s Super League, Championship, League One and League Two.

A former professional footballer, Molango’s playing career included spells in England with Brighton and Hove Albion, Wrexham and Lincoln City, and Spain with Atletico Madrid. Off the pitch, he spent four years as CEO of RCD Mallorca, during which time the club achieved back-to-back promotions from Segunda B to La Liga. He has also led a legal career at Baker McKenzie, specialising in sports and employment law, and at Atletico Madrid, where he served as legal counsel.

In his most recent role since joining the PFA in 2021, Molango was co-director of FIFA’s club management programme. Molango teaches part-time at several higher education institutions, including ISDE, La Liga Business School, New York University (Madrid), and at the PFA’s own Business School.
