Tommy Makhobela is a seasoned Sports and Entertainment Business Developer.
With ten years of experience in marketing, strategic partnerships, and business development, Tommy has worked with global institutions and brands to forge meaningful partnerships that change lives.
Tommy was the Head of Commercials at JayZ’s Roc Nation, where he spearheaded partnerships for Siya Kolisi, Cheslin Kolbe, Mamelodi Sundowns FC, Bongiwe Msomi, Tendai Mtawarira, etc., while representing global icons like Kevin De Bryune, Romelo Lukaku, AC Milan, Sharks Rugby, and the Italian Serie A League.
Further, he went on to be the CMO of Prestigious Group, where he looked after the Teko Modise brand, onboarding partnerships like Samsonite, Netflix, Huawei, YSL, Balmain, GQ, NJR Jewelery and Lift Airline for The General and the Creative Agency.
Now he is a Digital Marketing Strategist at SuperSport, the most prominent sports broadcaster in Africa, and he is part of a team that brings you the world of sports from AFCON to PSL, to UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup and the EUROS, amongst many other tournaments in cricket, rugby and Olympics.
Mr Makhobela also works with The Football Academy in Dubai to facilitate football trials in South Africa and help young African footballers get professional football experience and contracts globally.
